HOLARAS AS10 ONION TOPPER

It is primarily designed for removing the foliage (tops or haulms) from harvested bulb onions, preparing them for storage or further processing.

Application: Removal of onion tops (onion topper). It is also suitable for handling shallots and flower bulbs.
Operating Principle: The machine uses rapidly rotating knives to cut off the onion tops. The onions pass over vibrating sieves, and a strong airflow sucks the tops downwards, where the knives cut them.
Capacity: Typically 5-10 tons/hour.
Number of Knives: 2 pieces.
Number of Sieves: 2 pieces. The vibrating sieves are easily interchangeable and are available for different onion sizes (6-40 mm).
Enclosed System (Optional): An enclosed system version (AS-10 ENC) exists for better airflow and dust reduction, which can also be equipped with a waste conveyor belt.
Vibration Motors: Specially designed vibration motors ensure the floating movement of the onions on the sieves.

With HOLARAS machines, the tops are not torn off but cut by fast-rotating knives, thus avoiding damage to the onions.
